Data You Send Directly
The search forms on this site send what you enter, such as a name, phone number, or address, to the third-party search provider that powers the results. We do not store a separate copy of those searches on our own servers. If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to include and use them only to respond.
Data Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure creates standard server logs, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We review this data in aggregate to keep the site working and understand which pages are useful. Cookies or similar tools may be used for basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
We use the data described above to operate the site, troubleshoot problems, measure traffic, and improve pages. We do not sell a visitor list. We also do not build individual user profiles from ordinary visits.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to Washington County offices, Arkansas state portals, library collections, and third-party search tools. Each outside site has its own privacy policy, and data you submit there is governed by that site's rules, not ours. That is especially important for sponsored search results, which are provided by a third-party company.
Who Might See Your Data
Service providers that host and support this site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We will disclose data if valid legal process requires it. We do not otherwise share visitor data.
How Data Is Protected
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Server logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes above. Because Washington County People Search does not run user accounts, there is no site password or member profile for us to maintain.
Users Under 18
This site is not directed at children and is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a website holds about you. The research for this Arkansas build did not identify a broad Arkansas consumer data-broker deletion statute comparable to some states' comprehensive privacy laws; record-specific protections still apply, including Ark. Code Ann. 20-18-305 for vital records and Ark. Code Ann. 7-5-109 for secure voter addresses. Because we hold almost nothing, most requests end quickly: we can search our contact mailbox and server logs and remove what we find. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Washington County, Arkansas offices, or state agencies are outside our control; removal or redaction requests for those records must go to the custodian office.
Updates to This Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
